-Divisions of RichLan Entertainment-

A hip-hop musical titled Peaceful Rhythms was the first production
of  RichLan Companies, LP. The thirty member cast and crew of the
musical included the talents of Berklee School of Music graduates,
an understudy of the Bring in the Noise Bring in the Funk cast, an
award winning poet and the resources of community icons such as
OrigiNation, Bridging Bridges, Concerned Black Men of
Massachusetts, First Inc, Afrocentrics and Roxbury Community
College. RichLan Companies also produced the first Black Man
Think Tank in the New England area. Re-named RichLan
Entertainment in 2005, this business partnership was created by wife
and husband team Lanice L. Lumpkins - O’Bryant and Dr. Richard L.
O’Bryant in 1996. Having been born and raised in Mission Hill and
Mattapan respectively, Lanice and Richard have always given back
to their beloved neighborhoods and the youth that live there.

Richard attended the famed Elma Lewis Performing Arts programs
as a child, and Lanice’s parents are singers and songwriters. Lanice
and Richard both enjoy the arts and believe that there is a wealth of
talent to be discovered and harvested within Boston’s urban
neighborhoods. Richard teaches full-time at Northeastern University,
and consults on a number of technology related projects in the New
England area.  Lanice dedicates her days to writing screenplays and
providing script consulting services to local filmmakers while making
her own films.

BirthName Productions is located in Dorchester, where Lanice and
Richard live with their two sons.
